Scott Hatfield. Book a call

Your business works. It’s just grinding you down.

Somewhere along the way, you became the thing holding it together. You’re the one moving information around, chasing the same updates, doing by hand what a system should have done once.

I build the systems that take that off you.

Scott Hatfield

What you’re really buying is time.

When the operational load sits with systems instead of people, it comes back to you as capacity. Time for the work that actually grows the business, and for the things no system should touch: the decisions, the relationships, the work you got into this to do.

Operations should run quietly in the background so the people can do what only people can.

Systems built around your business, not someone else’s assumptions.

You don’t need to know how any of it works. You tell me what it should do, and I work out how to build it. It all sits on the same foundation:

  1. 01

A store of what your business actually knows

Your data, your rules, your way of doing things. Systems only act correctly when they’re grounded in your business, not a generic template.

  2. 02

Tools built around your real process

Replacing the manual work you took on when off-the-shelf software didn’t quite fit.

  3. 03

AI that reads, decides and drafts

Handling the operational work that used to need your attention, within limits you define.

Not one-off automation. Durable infrastructure that gives a small team the reach of a much larger one.

This isn’t theory.

Two systems I’ve built, and what they handed back.

Pay As You Go COO
£30k a year

in time saved on proposals alone. Call prep dropped from two hours to thirty minutes, proposals from a day and a half to half a day. And the saving grows as they scale, which was the whole point.

The problem
Every new lead came with the same manual runway before a proposal could go out: research the company by hand, prep the discovery call, then write a bespoke proposal from scratch in the consultancy’s own methodology. It ate the hours before every deal and capped how much new business they could take on.
What I built
An operating system for the whole lead-to-proposal pipeline. It researches each new lead automatically, turns the discovery-call transcript into a summary, and drafts the proposal in the consultancy’s own methodology, ready to edit rather than start from a blank page. The pipeline, the research, and the proposals all live in one place.

From one simple build, we’re already saving the cost of the entire annual salary of an admin person each year, and he’s built us something with the kind of knowledge and decision-making capability that would cost us three times that to hire.

EVC

Eco Ventures Counsel
Room to grow

The admin that was holding the whole programme back is gone. Mitesh has gone from fighting to keep each cohort moving to planning how to expand its reach. He calls the impact unquantifiable.

The problem
EVC matches leading law firms with early-stage climate-tech ventures for pro bono legal support. Every cohort meant pairing 50-plus venture applications with a dozen firms by hand, across Word docs, spreadsheets, and email. Slow, easy to get wrong, and impossible to scale.
What I built
The operational engine for the whole cohort. Applications come in, law firm preferences are captured, a weighted algorithm matches firms to ventures, recommendation packs go out, and the cohort reports on itself. The spreadsheet-and-email workflow is gone.

And it’s only just become possible.

Building software around how a business actually works used to mean an engineering team and a budget to match. So everyone else rented generic tools and bent the business around them.

Operations that were only ever viable for large companies are now within reach of a business like yours.

Two things changed. Building custom software has collapsed in cost, and AI can now handle the judgement calls that used to need a person. Most people haven’t acted on it yet.

Who’s building it.

I’m Scott. I’ve spent 11+ years running operations and transformation inside businesses that had the resources most don’t: British Airways, Avado, AND Digital. I built the systems that let large organisations run.

Now I bring that same capability to the businesses that were always priced out of it. One operator, working directly with you, building the thing rather than managing a team who might.

If your business runs but you’re the reason it holds together, that’s the thing I fix.

No pitch deck, no discovery-call gauntlet. A conversation about what’s grinding you down and whether I can build it away.
